National Taiwan Science Education Center

This museum is designed to promote science education for children, and is fairly "hands-on".  Entrance is 100 for adults, with discounts for students, over 65 etc.  The Earthquake area is 20 per person, and there are extra charges for the 3-d theaters (open Tuesday and weekends).

There are fast food restaurants, convenience store, and book store in the complex.  The area is wheelchair and stroller-friendly.

At the entrance, there is a fountain that kids love to play in, so take a change of clothes.  And, across the road, there is a large park that you can visit.

  2. I took my kids to B1 playarea today. It is very nice and well worth the 60nt per child and 40nt per adult to enjoy. There are a lot of games and puzzles to play with, a large whiteboard, computers with educational games, audiovisual area, climbing wall, giant lego, foosball and airhockey tables, and soft play area for little ones. Natural light comes in and it is well-ventilated.
We also visited the third to sixth floors, which hold the permanent exhibits. 70nt for me and kids under 6 free. Some of it was too hard for them to understand but there is a lot to touch, hear, feel, and experience.
