This event was listed in the monthly government cultural magazine, and mentioned nothing about the Scientology Church.Katrina Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16793561387260778696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-571318664546179344.post-68050017615503024462009-09-27T06:24:54.279-07:002009-09-27T06:24:54.279-07:00We went to this today, thanks Asiababy for the hea...We went to this today, thanks Asiababy for the heads up. It's opposite Nong'an Jie on the NW corner of the pedestrian underpass.

Can't really recommend it, sadly. It's a cover for the Scientology Church, not a bookshop at all. There are plenty of books by L R Hubbard, and some nice stationery, that's it. They have a retreat room for biz types (500 an hour I think she said to read or surf the web in a carpeted lounge); we had to pay $200 per child for a 1 hour plasticine session run by the friendly but non-expert Candy A-yi. They also have an afternoon tea menu.

There was a lot of pressure to buy Scientology materials, a film about previous incarnations or some such, and frankly it was all a bit weird.

smithsgjAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
